Chau is a sixty-something years old trapped in a twenty-seven years old body who prefers smelly old books over Kindle, calligraphy brushes over ballpoint pens and stacks of paper over the computer screen... These feels of nostalgia and romantic resonance are thus apparent throughout the designs - all of which have been meticulously hand drawn and cut before going into the local manufacturers in the UK.
She now works alongside close family members and friends who help overlooking the manufacturing and marketing of the business to ensure the consistent quality of our paper goods.
Since the launch in early 2016, the company has grown to be stocked in numerous shops and galleries across the UK and internationally. We could not have made this progress without you, our beloved friends and customers, and hope to continue receiving your invaluable support.
Chau is pronounced like “ciao” in Italian, making the brand's name a little wordplay: “Chau Art” - “A salute to art!"
